The late Seán Enright RIP was a well-known parishioner and he gave many years working in his farm, prior to his retirement he travelled in his tractor as a milk supplier to Belville creamery when it was in progress. He was a man who had a great interest in the G.A.A. He was a lifelong member of the Pioneers association. In the early 1950’s he played junior hurling (A) with Kilmeedy and later with Feenagh Kilmeedy winning West JHC (A) with them in 1955. His brother Jim was full-back during Sean’s hurling career. People mainly cycled carrying family members on the bar of the bike to the local venues not remembered anymore for the spirit of the association. His coffin was draped in the Feenagh Kilmeedy G.A.A flag and the Pioneer flag.

Sympathy is extended to his sister Nellie, Brothers in law Patrick Noonan, Joseph Heffernan, Nephews, Nieces and the entire family.

Case studies needed

My name is Mari and I am currently working as a Nutritional Therapist. Through my work, I am seeing a growing need for a greater focus on the mind-body connection and emotional health. I am therefore studying Body Talk, a modality I hope to combine with my Nutritional Therapy to bring a well-rounded comprehensive approach to health.

As part of my training, I am doing a number of case studies – I am therefore looking for willing bodies! It is a very gentle therapy using muscle testing and gentle tapping techniques. All that is required of the client is to lie down relax. I am based in Kilmeedy – if you are interested, please give me a call or text on 087 3664475. Thanks, Mari

A Mindfulness course is starting in Aras Ide, Kilmeedy on October 23 from 7 pm to 9 pm running for 8 weeks.

Ever wonder where our good and enjoyable times go as we rush through life? Do you find that you are spending a great deal of your time thinking about the future or the past, while the present slips by? Is your mind racing, thinking ahead, worrying, judging, and you are feeling anxious or overwhelmed? Do you often put yourself on automatic pilot?

Mindfulness is a strategy to keep your attention in the present moment and learn techniques to increase your enjoyment of life.

The charge for each session is between €5 – €10, depending on what you’re comfortable with. The charge will cover the cost of the hall and materials.

If you would like a place on the course please text your name and how many people to Simon Wale on 086 6067758.
