ROSARY

Rosary at Feenagh church on Friday, September 20 at 7 pm.

FAREWELL EVENT

A Farewell event for Fr Patrick Bluett P.P will take place in the community centre Feenagh on Saturday, September 21 after 7.30 pm mass in Feenagh church. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Rambling house at Aras Íde, Kilmeedy on Friday, September 20 at 8.30 pm.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL

St Vincent de Paul church gate collection on Saturday and Sunday 21 and 22 September.

DEATH

The death occurred on Thursday, September 12 of Patrick (Paddy) Fitzmaurice, Feenagh village and Avaheen, Feenagh. His removal was on Friday evening from his residence in the village to Feenagh church, his burial after mass on Saturday to Springfield cemetery. The chief celebrant was very Rev Fr Patrick Bluett P.P. Music and Hymns at mass Maura Nolan, Sheila Cagney and the Fitzgibbon family. The symbols of Paddy’s life were brought to the altar.

The late Paddy Fitzmaurice RIP was well known over a large area for many years. His was in the agricultural business which involved cutting hay and ploughing and all involved in the job which brought him in contact with the farming community through the 1950s, 1960s and up to 1970. In his youth, he attended Feenagh School. He was also mechanically minded in repairs of machinery.

Sympathy is extended to his nephews, Nieces and his entire family.

45 DRIVE

A 45 drive will commence at Aras Íde, Kilmeedy on Sunday, October 6 at 8.30 pm.

MASSES

Saturday, September 21 at Feenagh church at 7.30 pm – John and Peg Roche, their son Richard, daughter Eileen RIP.

Sunday, September 22 at Kilmeedy Church at 10 am – Patrick Delee RIP.

KILMEEDY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP – COFFEE MORNING

Kilmeedy Development will host a coffee morning on Thursday, September 19 from 9.30 am – 1 pm. This will take place at the Dome in the Phoenix garden Kilmeedy. This coffee morning is in aid of Milford Care Centre. The staff of Milford care centre provide multiple services to our community.  These include Hospice at Home services, a Nursing Home, Day Care for both the Older Person and people with palliative care needs. They also offer Bereavement Support for families.

LOCAL LINK BUS SERVICE

Just to remind everyone that there is a local link Bus service through Kilmeedy village every day, six times a day from Monday to Saturday, the Newcastlewest to Charleville route. It is passing through Kilmeedy and collects at the graveyard at the following times:7.55 am, 9.25 am,12.55 pm,15.14 pm,16.50 pm,18.15 pm. The Charleville to Newcastlewest times returning outside the graveyard are 8.25 am,9.55 am ,13.25 pm,15.55 pm,17.15 pm,18.45 pm.  A return trip costs €5 and single fare is €3. If you would like a timetable or further information call to the CE office here in Kilmeedy, and your continued support of this service is appreciated.
