FEENAGH KILMEEDY PARISH NOTES FOR WEEK OF FEBRUARY 18 2019
The death occurred on Saturday February 9 of Mrs Sarah O Donovan nee Harrold, at St Mary Mount Hospice Cork. Sarah of Mondellihy, Dromcollogher and Belville Kilmeedy, was reposing at Daly’s Funeral home Dromcollogher on Monday evening. Her Removal to St Bartholomew’s church, Dromcollogher on Tuesday for mass. Burial afterwards in Naomh Ide cemetery Feenagh. The Chief celebrant at mass was Very Rev Fr Frank O Dea P.P. Other concelebrants were Rev Monsignor Daniel Neenan P.P, Very Rev Canon Frank Duhig P.P, Very Rev Canon Seamus Ambrose P.E, Very Rev Fr Patrick Bluett P.P, Very Rev Fr John Keating P.P, Very Rev Fr John Duggan P.E. Music and Hymns at mass by The Wright sisters and Gerard Wall. The attendance at the removal mass and burial was very large and representive.
The late Sarah O Donovan Nee Harrold was a person who led a quiet and devoted life. She was a dedicated family woman and was very pleasant with all she met in her daily duties in her profession as a Social worker including patients and staff. Her passing is deeply regretted by family and friends and the large community, at such a young age to depart this life. She will rest in the cemetery close to the GAA ground where her beloved brother Dónal yields the camán in representing the Feenagh Kilmeedy Hurling team.
Sympathy is extended to her husband Dónal, son Cian, daughter sorcha, Parents Dán and Margaret, brothers Seán, Brian, Dónal. Sisters in law, Nephews, Nieces, Uncles, Aunts and the entire family.
Kilmeedy Community Development Group
It was with deep sadness, that we learned of the death of Sarah Harrold O’Donovan, daughter of
Dan Harrold, a long time and active member of the Development Group. Members of the Group
extend our deepest sympathies to Dan, his wife Margaret, Sarah’s husband Donal, children Cian and
Sorcha, brothers Sean, Brian and Donal and her extended family. It is hard to find words to express
sympathy at the loss of someone so young, taken in her prime. We hope that the Harrold’s and
O’Donovan’s will find solace from their strong faith and lean on our small community to which they
have contributed so much over the years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

The directors and staff of Corran-Deel Voluntary Housing Association extends its sincere sympathy to
Dan Harrold (Chairman) and his wife Margaret, on the death of their beloved daughter, Sarah
Harrold O’Donovan. Sympathy is also extended to Sarah’s husband Donal, their children Cian and
Sorcha and to Sarah’s brothers and extended family. We pray for Sarah’s family, to help them cope
with their tragic and untimely loss. RIP.
The Death occurred at St John’s Hospital Limerick on Wednesday February 13 of Mrs Katherine (Kit) Geary R.I.P , Garbally Kilmeedy. Reposing at Reidy’s Funeral home, Newcastlewest on Friday evening. Removal from her residence on Saturday to St Ita’s church Kilmeedy. Her burial after mass in Kilmeedy cemetery. The mass celebrant was Very Rev Fr Patrick Bluett P.P. Other concelebrants was Canon Garrett Bluett P.E. Music and Hymns at mass by Maura and Donie. Music and singing at the grave side by her granddaughters Isabel and Jennifer Geary, Donal and Stephen Madigan.
The late Mrs Katherine (Kit) Geary R.I.P , was a very decicated family woman with her late husband Michael they worked hard for their family needs. Kit had a family of nine boys and one girl. Kit was born in the town land of Belville, Kilmeedy and attended Kilmeedy national school. Sympathy is extended to her sons Michael, Daniel, James,John, Patrick, Liam, Gerard, Christopher,daughter Betty Moore, Daughters in law, son in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the entire family.
Sympathy is extended to Paul Roche Feenagh, Andrew Roche, Belville Kilmeedy,Mrs Mary O Sullivan Gurteen Feenagh, Mrs Ann Carroll Milford and the entire Roche and Hayes Families on the death of their Aunt Mrs Mary Hayes Nee Roche, The Terrace Newtownshandrum.

A charity ceili in aid of Down Syndrome Limerick is taking place on Friday March 29th 2019 at the Longcourt House Hotel. Mountain Road with Con Herbert will again be providing the music. A great night for a great cause. All support greatly appreciated.
INTRODUCTION TO GARDENING – OUTDOOR VEGETABLE CROP PRODUCTION
QQI Level 3 – Introduction to gardening –outdoor vegetable crop production course will run on Thursday mornings from 10 am – 1 pm for approx 14 weeks starting on the 28 February in Aras Ide Kilmeedy.
No minimum requirements, no previous experience necessary.
