FEENAGH KILMEEDY PARISH NOTES FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 28 2019

WATER QUALITY

Meeting at Feenagh Community centre on Thursday January 24. Ruairí O Connor, Limerick County Council, spoke on the quality of water in the upper River Deel and aspiring for healthy water requires cooperation. Jim Johnson, scientist said Insects can improve the water. Many questions were asked to members Padraig Fitzgerald, Anne O Donovan,Terry O Mahoney. Also in attendance were Maeve Ryan and Shay Galvin, County IFA Chairman Andrew Holmes, Limerick County Councillor Michael Collins. At the conclusion tea and biscuits were served to all. Thanks to Una and Paul.

KILMEEDY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP CLG – AGM

Kilmeedy Development group are holding their AGM on Tuesday 19 February at 8 pm in Aras Ide, Kilmeedy. All are welcome. Kilmeedy Development group had a great year in 2017, and we expect a busy 2018/2019. We are appealing to anyone who would like to get involved in our community for even one hour a week or a month with their time, skills, ideas or expertise in any area, we would be delighted to have you.
