Kilmeedy After-school is located across the road from Kilmeedy National School. We offer a home away from home service where your child will get a healthy snack when they come from school. We also provide homework supervision and play opportunities for children. We have a well developed outdoor play space.

School Bus Collection Service

We offer a school bus service from Feenagh school and it is planned to operate a bus service from Castlemahon National school in September 2018.

Qualified Staff

We are fully committed to delivering a quality service for children and families and in this regard, our staff are qualified and experienced. Our manager holds a FETAC 5 Certificate in Montessori & Childcare, a FETAC 5 Care of the special Child, 6 years experience working with children aged 4 months to 13 years. Our staff regularly participate in the on-going professional development and have undertaken Child Protection and First Aid Training.

Affordable Childcare Options

We offer the CCS, CCSP and TEC Schemes. These Government Schemes provided subsidies childcare to parents who meet the eligibility criteria. For e.g from September 2017.

A Parent who is in receipt of Social Welfare and holds a full Medical card will receive a reduction of €45 per week per child. Full fee €50 per week less €45 = €5 per week per child.

A Parent who holds a full medical card or is in receipt of a Social Welfare payment will receive a reduction of €25 per week. Full fee €50 per week less €25 = €25 per week per child.

A parent who holds a GP Visit Card or is in receipt of a Social welfare payment will receive a reduction of €17 per week. Full fee €50 per week less €17 = €33 per week per child.

A parent who is participating on an eligible EBT or Solas Training Programme or CE Scheme may qualify for a subsidy of €45 per week towards the cost of their childcare or €80 per week if the child requires collection by bus from Feenagh or Castlemahon.
