The Month Mind mass for Ath Peádar De Búrca RIP was celebrated at Seipeil Naomh Íde,Cillmhide on Aoine 8 la Meitheamh. The chief celebrant was his cousin Rev Fr Muiris O Connor. Other celebrants was Monsignor Liam Boyce P.E, Very Rev Fr Frank Moriarty P.E, Fr Patrick Bluett P.P, Fr Michael Noonan P.P, Fr Edwin Irwin P.P,Fr Michael Cussen P.P, Rev Fr Joseph Cussen C.C, Rev Fr Brendan Murphy P.E. C.C,Rev Fr John Duggan P.E. A Fine congregation attended, the parish choir sang at the mass. After mass Teas and refreshments and food was served in Arás íde Kilmeedy.


The death occurred at the Regional hospital Limerick on Wednesday June 6 of Mrs Kathleen Gayer, Feenagh. Her removal was on Saturday evening from Sexton’s Funeral Home Broadford to her daughter Patricia’s residence, her removal to Feenagh church on Sunday for mass and her burial in Feenagh cemetery. The Chief celebrant was Very Rev Fr Brendan Murphy P.E. .C.C, Other celebrants were Fr Patrick Bluett P.P, Canon Seamus Ambrose P.E. Prayers at the removal were recited by Fr P Bluett P.P. Music and Hymns at mass by Donie and Maura Nolan. The symbols of Kathleen’s life were brought to the altar. A guard of honour was formed by members of the I.C.A, Active age, and Card playing friends. The late Mrs Kathleen Gayer Nee Lyons was a native of Glenroe and was a well known and popular lady, a dedicated family woman to her children and grandchildren. She was a great supporter of all parish fundraising and the annual sale of work. She was a great attendee for many years of Bingo with her late husband Dan and her Sister in law Kathleen. She supported the 45 drives and was a lifelong member of the Pioneers. Sympathy is extended to her sons, daughters, brothers, sister,grandchildren,sons in law, daughters in law and her entire family.
