Feenagh/Kilmeedy All Ireland Modern Dance champions will defend their title in Athlone on the weekend of the 22nd of August 2014. The girls continue to develop and mature as a dance team and their display in Askeaton on Saturday night made it three county titles in a row.
Limerick Community Games continues to promote good talent at under 14 level and judging by the standard of musicians, singers and dancers will have a very competitive squad at the All Ireland finals.
Our girls team of Melanie Gilbourne, Lorna Donegan, Carrie-Ann Devine, Aisling Enright, Ciara Heenan and Emma Healy got great support from family and friends.
We could not have done it without the excellent coaching from dance teacher Catherine Upton and the super make up and
hair by Laura Gilbourne, Tara Hurley and Laura Enright.
Nice to see former team members Tara Madigan and Rachel O’Regan supporting the girls at the weekend. Community Games are preparing to start under 16 talent competitions and wouldn’t that be great news. In the meantime there is a lot of work to be done and we will save up for Athlone this
year. Maybe a win in the Feenagh soccer ‘Last Man Standing’ would help. The dream lives on !
