ACTIVE AGE MEETING

Active age meeting at Aras Ide Kilmeedy on Tuesday November 28th at 7pm.

ROSARY

Rosary at Feenagh church on Friday November 24th at 7pm.

REMBERANCE MASS

Rememberance mass at Kilmeedy church on Sunday November 26th at 10am for those who died in the last year.

MASSES

Saturday November 25th at Feenagh church at 7.30pm – People of the parish.

Reader – Rosario Irwin, Eucharistic minister – Brige O Sullivan, Alter servers – Keith and John Irwin, Dominic Moran.

Sunday November 26th at Kilmeedy church at 10am.

Reader – Patricia Coleman, Eucharistic minister – Mary Beaulieu.

PASTORAL AREA MEETING

Pastoral  area meeting at the Sanctuary, Dromcollogher church on Wednesday November 29th at 7pm. The seven parishes in the Newcastlewest pastoral area will be represented, they are Newcastlewest, Kilmeedy, Monegea, Ardagh, Carrickerry, Feohanagh- Castlemahon,Dromcollogher – Broadford,Feenagh – Kilmeedy.

CHOIR PRACTICE

Choir practice at Feenagh church on Saturday November 25th at 6pm.

I.F.A

Feenagh I.F.A  annual general meeting at the Community centre on Monday November 13th, officers and committee elected were Chairman – Michael McCarthy, Secretary – John Hannigan.

Commitee – Richard Dunworth, John Lynch, Donal Irwin, Pat Twomey, Martin McCarthy, Charles McCarthy, Ned Irwin, John Holmes, Liam Long, Michael Gayer.

The meeting was addressed by County Representative Sean Lavery Shanagolden.

SYMPATHY

The death occurred on Saturday November 11th of Mrs Catherine Byrne R.I.P, Cashel avenue, Crumlin Dublin, a native of Kilmurry. Sympathy is extended to her nephews and niece Patrick in Feenagh, Charles in Galbally, Mrs Mary Cronin Feenagh. Extended sympathy to the entire Byrne family.

Sympathy is extended to Tom O Donnell his wife Jacqueline and family Cloncrippa Feenagh on the death of his uncle Cal O Donnell R.I.P, Kilmallock.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Rambling house at Aras Ide Kilmeedy on Friday November 17th . The M.C Sean O Gorman introduced the participants before, and at the interval foods and teas were served. Thanks to the organisers for their hospitality. The Entertainers were – Eamonn Cronin Dromina, Dan Madigan Kilmeedy, Mary Gleeson Cappamore, Miss O Donnell Castlemahon, Corry Lynch Feenagh, Donal Hayes Crecora, Mary Flanagahan Croom, Tom Meehan Knockaderry, Jim Lynons Ballingarry, Matt Lawlee Ballyclough, Kathleen Lordan Dromcollogher, Tom Gilbourne Feohanagh, Stephen Madigan Kilmeedy, Gerard Conaghan and Damien Patterson Newcaslewest, Liam Cummins Abbeyfeale, Josie Ahern and Teresa Looney Croagh, Eamonn Leahy Croom, David Hunt Pallaskenry, Stephen Roche Kanturk, Christy Kelly Kilmeedy, Sean Hartnett Feohanagh.

FUNDRAISING DANCE

There is a fundraising dance in aid of The Hope Foundation, in the Devon Inn Templeglantine, on Friday 24th November at 9pm. Admission is €5 for adults (children free) and there will be a raffle on the night. Music will be provided by the Mountain Road céilí band.

Hope is a registered charity, funding projects that work with street and slum children in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) in the areas of healthcare, protection, nutrition, training, counselling and human rights advocacy.

Your support on the night would be greatly appreciated. A great night is assured for all!!

INVASIVE SPECIES WORKSHOP

Invas Biosecurity is running a free training day in Invasive species Identification and Management in Coote Hall, Kilmallock, on the 25th of November, from 10am-4.30pm. A part of the training takes place outdoors so please bring appropriate attire. It is aimed at community groups and landowners who have an interest in invasive species. KILMEEDY DEVELOPMENT GROUP MEETING

A meeting of Kilmeedy Development will take place in Aras Ide on Monday 27th of November at 8pm. Ann Gaughan a staff member of Rural Link – The Rural Transport Company serving the west Limerick area will be in attendance, so anyone interested in this area should attend. The Rural link can provide transport for all members of the community both young and not so young. Kilmeedy Development will hold a table quiz in the Glen bar Kilmeedy on Friday night December 1st at 9pm. We are appealing for your support as this is the only fundraiser that The Development association are holding in 2017. The raffle on the night will consist of two big Christmas hampers so if you can’t attend but would like to purchase tickets please contact the office  on 087 4374494 or any member of the committee from Monday 27th of November onwards. If you wish to donate a raffle prize or make a contribution you can call to the office at the Old Garda Barracks, any help would be greatly appreciated.
