With the new Desmond League season just around the corner, the side have being preparing with a number of friendly games. Bally Rovers were defeated 3-1 courtesy of goals from Thomas O’Sullivan and two from Conor Dillon. Last Friday night the side travelled to Carrigkerry and played out a 2-2 draw with Carrig Celtic with John O’Gorman on the mark twice. Another game is lined up for tomorrow night, 14th August, away to Old Mill.

Feenagh B have also returned to action and took on Broadford B last Saturday in a friendly game. Kevin Moore and Darren Geary were on target. They return to action tonight in a friendly game v Abbeyfeale Youths.

The club awards night took place recently in The Glen Bar. John Coleman received the club player of the year while John O’Gorman was voted player’s player of the year. For the B team, Davin Twomey was awarded club player of the year with Shane Curtin voted in as the player’s player of the year. Well done to all winners and to Variations ( aka Bunty,Pele and Neville) for providing the entertainment on the night.

Work was ongoing on the pitch in Feenagh under the watchful eyes of Paul and Timmy Lynch. Parts of the field were re-seeded and sanded and extra drains were also layed.
