To whom it may concern.

I am writing to you in the hope that you can assist me with the following request.

Enable Ireland limerick have been granted a Garda Permit for a church gate collection in Kilmeedy this coming Saturday and Sunday 20th and 21st June.

Unfortunately we do not have any association with this parish are we are appealing to your community for assistance.

Enable Ireland provides free services to children and adults with disabilities from forty locations in fourteen counties throughout Ireland. Covering all ages from childhood to adulthood our expert teams work with individuals and their families to produce a life plan for each stage of their development. These services cover all the needs of the individual including their physical needs, their education and their social development from early infancy. Adult service users are offered a range of services including assistance with personal development, independent living, supported employment, social and leisure activities.

The demand for the services offered by Enable Ireland continues to increase throughout Ireland. We have set ourselves the challenging goal of meeting these needs by providing a full range of high quality services and by expanding into local communities.

The Enable Ireland Limerick Adult Day Services Centre based at Quinn’s Cross, Mungret offers a non-residential, five-day week service to 47 adults with significant physical and sensory disabilities. Our Children’s services are housed in Blackberry Park and caters for Children with various disabilities up to the age of 18. It is important to note that all funds raised in the Limerick area will be used for the building of our new respite unit in Castleconnell which hope we will be able to start developing by the end of this year.

I would appreciate if you could circulate our request amongst those in your neighborhood with a view to getting a parishioner to do the collection before mass at 19.30 on Saturday and 11.30 on Sunday . It will take just thirty minutes before each mass and it would be very much appreciated.

I am attaching a copy of our recent video which portrays the work of our Adult Services in Limerick for your attention.

Thank you for you consideration. I hope for a favorable response.

Kindest Regards,

Ann Enright,
