FEENAGH KILMEEDY PARISH NOTES FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 7 2019

ROSARY

Rosary at Kilmeedy Church on Friday, January 11 at 7 pm.

MASSES

Saturday, January 12 at Feenagh church at 7.30 pm – O Connor Family RIP.

Reader – Rosario Irwin, Eucharistic minister – Mary Lynch, Altar servers – Tomás Galvin, Garry and Jane Donegan.

Sunday, January 13 at Kilmeedy church at 10 am – Tom and Sheila Hartnett, Daughter Maria RIP.

Reader – Pat Gilbourne, Eucharistic minister – Stefan Beaulieu, Altar server – Michael Heenan.

WEDDING

The wedding took place at St Coleman’s church Kilcolman on Monday, December 31 between Liam O Gorman Feenagh and Siobhan Hayes Kilcolman.

The Bestman was Micheál O Sullivan, Groomsmen – David O Sullivan, Owen Cunningham, Chief Bridesmaid – Marguerite Guiry, Bridesmaids – Mary O Gorman, Lisa Collins, Pageboy – Jack O Gorman. Gifts to the Altar – Joan Hayes, Kathleen O Gorman. Readers – Catherine O Regan, Deirdre Hayes McCann.

The marriage ceremony was performed by Very Rev Fr Timothy Curtin P.P. The Reception was held in the Strand Hotel, Limerick. A Guard of Honour with Hurleys was formed as the Bride and Groom were leaving the church by members of the Feenagh Kilmeedy G.A.A. Club. We congratulate the Newlyweds.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Rambling House at Aras Ide Kilmeedy on Friday, January 18 at 8.30 pm.

RING IN THE NEW YEAR IN KILMEEDY

The Annual Ring in the New Year, Ring out the old was performed in Kilmeedy Village on New Year ‘s Eve December 31 with music played through the village which is clearly looked forward to by performers and supporters of the Event, in Welcoming in 2019 in their usual Traditional way with the Holy Year Cross looking down.

Exercise Classes for Older Adults.

OSTEOFIT® classes will commence in Newcastle West in the Desmond Complex

starting on Monday next 14 January at 2 pm.

If you are in your 60s 70s or 80s and would like to participate in exercise classes in

your area OSTEOFIT® classes might be of interest to you. OSTEOFIT® group

exercise classes are specially designed for both men and women in this age group

and aim to maintain bone density, improve strength and flexibility, improve

balance and reduce the risk of falling. All exercises in the programme are suitable

for those diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia. Visit www.osteofit.ie for

more information. OSTEOFIT® will be in the Desmond Complex every Monday

at 2 pm. Your first trial class is complimentary and then you pay €10 per session.
